Arc was started by university friends Mike and Paul in a small room in Liverpool. The company has since grown into a nationwide event staffing agency, with a team of 27 full time staff, 10,000 casuals and seven offices. 

Arc's vision is to shape the world of flexible work into a better place for all.

We believe at the heart of great events are great people. Our number one priority is finding, assessing and training the best people with the right skills and attitude to fit seamlessly into any team or event and make customers happy. 

Arc has a thorough recruitment process: an online application, a phone interview, psychometric testing, a group assessment session and practical skills training. We make sure our people can hit the ground running. 

People are not only key to events, they’re central to our business and we care about doing right by them. With seven offices nationwide, we’re perfectly placed to recruit locally and make sure your Arc team represents people from the area. We care about building people’s skills. Whether a kitchen porter to prestige waiter, or team leader to manager, we promote through the ranks, while building a team that know the roles, venues, clients and industry.

Michael Gavin

Director

Head Office - Liverpool

Michael founded the business in 2008. He is the Director of all head office departments from operations to finance. What does Michael like about our key industries? "I like that businesses in our industries are judged on merit. The only people that survive long-term in our game have the utmost grit, determination and passion for what they do and will only work with people who share these qualities."

Paul Marcinkowski

Director

London

Paul has been with the business since its inception in 2008. He leads alongside Mike all 5 key business departments: Operations, Finance, Sales, Marketing and HR. What does Paul enjoy about working for Arc? "The people and our approach to business. From our temps to our managers, our clients to our partners, there really is never a dull moment. Our approach frees us from many of the constraints you would find in more traditional recruitment companies."

Andrew Hollins

Regional Manager

Andy has been with Arc since 2014 and is currently Regional Manager overseeing all staffing operations. What does Andy enjoy about working for Arc? “We’re a close-knit team but our wider family extends to both our casual staff and our clients. Bringing all three together to provide our clients with the best staff, and our staff with the best work, is continually rewarding”

Anthony Mee

Senior Finance Manager

Head Office - Liverpool

Anthony is responsible for the Finance team. He has ten years’ Finance experience including eight years’ experience as a Finance Manager. Why Finance? “I love the variety that each day brings with my job, from producing financial reporting to payroll. I have a passion for collating data into meaningful reporting, helping the businesses develop future strategy. I'm proud to be part of a business that delivers a top quality service to it's stakeholders.”

Sarah King

Regional Manager

Midlands

Sarah has worked in hospitality and retail since she was 18 and has been working for Arc since 2016. She started working as a coordinator in Liverpool and then moved to Birmingham to set up our Midlands office. Her sucess in the Midlands lead to her promotion to Regional Manger in 2019.  What does she like about working for Arc? "I love the variation of the role; from placing staff in some of the best venues in the area, to being on site with the staff and clients, to helping find new talent in the recruitment sessions – every day is a new challenge."

Lizzie Wright

Area Manager

Head Office - Liverpool

Lizzie graduated with an English degree from the University of Liverpool. Having worked for Arc for 3 years as a temporary member of staff, Lizzie was interested in seeing things from the other side of the table and doing everything she can to give our staff the best experience possible. After a year and half working full time, Lizzie was promoted to Area manager and now over sees Liverpool Operations.

Shaun Lytton

Finance Assistant

Head Office - Liverpool

Shaun is a Business Studies graduate from the University of Liverpool. He is studying alongside his full time finance role with Arc to gain ACCA chartered accountant status. Why does Shaun like this industry? "Having worked in the hospitality industry from a young age, I love how it's an industry open to everyone. All ages, backgrounds and experience levels are welcome and it can be great fun!"

Tom Dalrymple

Finance Manager

Head Office - Liverpool

Tom is an Economics Graduate from The University of Manchester. He is studying towards his CIMA Professional Accounting Qualification. He started as a Finance Assitant in 2017 and was promoted to Finance Manger in 2020. Why Arc? “Arc is willing to invest a lot of their time and effort in order to train its staff properly. Whether that be ourselves in the finance team or our hospitality staff. Arc will offer the support needed so that you can succeed in whatever role it is that suits. For a graduate like myself to immediately feel valued is quite unique. ”

Amy Nickson

Staffing and Recruitment Manager

Manchester

Amy had a long career in entertainment as a singer and dancer. Alongside this she also worked in hospitality for a number of years in varying roles from hostess to catering manager. She worked for Arc as a temporary worker for 4 years before joining the Manchester team in February 2018. “As a performer I loved getting to travel and meet new and interesting people. My position with Arc still enables me to do that and every day brings new challenges and opportunities”

Emily Reed

Staffing and Recruitment Manager

Head Office - Liverpool

Emily studied Events Management at Liverpool John Moores University and graduated in summer 2018. Emily worked for Arc for a year and a half while she studied and loved the flexibility that Arc offered. After working in the events industry part time doing numerous different roles and events for the last six years, Emily is really enjoying her new job with Arc Recruitment and experiencing a different area of the events industry. Emily is now looking forward to continue to work together recruiting great staff for our fabulous clients.

Beth attended University of Sussex in Brighton, where she studied Human Geography. Beth has experience in retail and customer service as well as bar work. She worked as a Staffing Coordinator for 2 years before being promoted to London's Area Manager. What does Beth love about Arc? 'My favourite part about Arc is the people! I love all the people who I work with in the London team, and all the staff members who make me laugh at check-ins'

Charlotte studied Maths and Psychology at the University of Liverpool and is currently studying towards her ACCA qualification. What does Charlotte love about Arc? 'I really enjoy the variety that my role offers and feel that I am constantly learning. Having worked in the hospitality industry for 4 years it’s nice to have this job as it relates to my degree but is also in an industry that I have a lot of experience in so it is nice to combine the two'.

Beth moved from a small town in Gloucestershire to study Photography at London Southbank University. When she moved to London Beth joined Arc as a temp and did shifts at various venues before joining the office team part time and now full time. What does Beth like about Arc? ‘My favourite part about being at Arc is interacting with people from all walks of life – from staff to clients, I get to meet new people every day!'

Marija Kavaliauskaite

Staffing and Recruitment Manager

Scotland

Marija came to Edinburgh from Lithuania 7 years ago when she came to study. Marija loved the weather so much that she ended up staying. She enjoyed experiencing 4 seasons of weather in a day! In her spare time, Marija likes going to see live concerts and also plays the drums.

Courtney Wakes

Business Development Manager

Head Office - Liverpool

Courtney is responsible for the generation of new business within the Arc network and across all seven sites. Courtney joined Arc with plenty of business and sales experience. Courtney is happy she has come back into the hospitality industry after supervising on a bar during university. What does Courtney love about Arc? "I love the fast paced environment and meeting people at some of the biggest sporting venues and tourist attractions in the country"

Lisa Grozier

Staffing and Recruitment Coordinator

Midlands

Lisa is a Law Graduate from The University of Liverpool and worked at Arc for 3 years whilst completing her degree. Lisa also worked part-time in the Midlands office and helped out in the Liverpool office, as well as working at lots of diffrent venues for Arc. Lisa has also co-ordinated staff and thrives off being on-site at different venues by being a friendly face for clients and staff.
